São Paulo – Although there was a dip in June, when vehicle production was down 5%, compared to May, the fact is that compared to June 2009, production was up 7.7%, and up a solid 19.1%, when production in the first half of 2010 is compared to the first half of 2009.
The automakers association (Anfavea) reports that 306,300 vehicles came off the assembly lines in June, compared to 322,500 in May. However, first half production in 2010 was a historical record of 1,750,000 units, compared to 1,470,000 during the same period in 2009.
