Mercosur attorneys meet in Foz do Iguaçu

Brasília - The practice of law in the South-American continent is the theme of the 5th Mercosur Attorneys’ Meeting, which began this Thursday (14), in Foz do Iguaçu, Southern region of Brazil. The event was opened by the presidents of the Brazilian Bar Association (BBA), Roberto Busato, and of the Federation of Bars of Argentina (FACA), Carlos Alberto Andreucci.

Organized by the BBA Federal Council and by the Mercosur Attorney Colleges and Bar Associations (COADEM), the meeting will have the participation of law professionals of Mercosur Member States, as well as Bolivia and Peru. Until Saturday (16), last day for debates, there will be several panels about the characteristics and legal discipline of the practice of law in the Mercosur and associate members; the main transnational law practice problems; and the different aspects of the profession’s regulation in the regional economic bloc.
