Rio, 26 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The latest survey of farm production by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) reports that the 2002 harvest could be as much as 0.77% bigger than last year's, with estimates for 99.3 million tons of grains, compared with 98.54 million in 2001.
The survey also reports a slight decline in the number of farm produce storage sites, down 0.61% since the end of the second half of 2000, to a total of 8,703 at the end of the second half of 2001. (AB)
