São Paulo, 23 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The acquisition of Perez Companc in Argentina will mean a significant increase in Petrobras foreign oil production, raising it from 66,000 barrels/daily to 246,000 barrels/daily, according to Petrobras president, Francisco Gros. "We intend to be a green-yellow multinational and this is a fundamental investment for the corporation which is aiming at foreign production of 300,000 barrels/daily," said Gros.

The cost of Perez Companc was US$1.1 billion. "I can affirm that no money will leave Brazil as part of this transaction," said Gros. (AB)
