Brasília, 12 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Family Farm Harvest Plan 2002/2003 will assist 1.3 million farming families with R$4.19 billion (US$1.5 billion). According to minister of Agrarian Development, José Abrão, R$220 million (US$77 million) will be used this year for services and infrastructure in predominately rural municipals.
The funds, says Abrão, are only part of the effort. There will also be technical, training, commercialization and exporting assistance. We will help farmers who are already producing to produce more, and help those who are starting to get off on the right foot, said the minister. (AB)
