Buenos Aires, 8 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - On Friday president Fernando Henrique Cardoso once again called for a revision of assistance mechanisms at international organizations, such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank so that they can deal rapidly with problems in countries hit by economic crises.

In an interview at the Mercosur Summit, Cardoso said the concession of loans "should be more aggressive," but that the private sector shies away from economic difficulties and that makes the situation difficult. (AB)
