Buenos Aires (Argentina), 5 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Brazilian representative at the Latin American Integration Association (Aladi), ambassador Bernardo Pericás, says he is confident that Mercosur will overcome the present international financial crisis which has been aggravated by the situation in Argentina. "No member of the economic block doubts that Mercosur will overcome this crisis. All integration processes are subject to difficulties. Mercosur will win this one," he said.

According to Pericás, a sign that there will be recovery is the presence of Mexican president Vicente Fox at the Mercosur Summit. "Mercosur is not an exclusive club. It is part of a greater integration effort." (AB)
