Rio, 8 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers (Abimaq) says that it estimates its revenue is expected to rise between 6% and 8% this year.
In 2001 sector revenue rose 11%, and exports, in spite of crises in the US and Argentina, were also up 2.5%. There was also an increase in sector jobs.
Between January and May this year, Abimaq had an expressive increase in revenue of 16.9%, even though sales to Argentina fell by 78%. (AB)
