São Paulo, 5 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - June inflation in São Paulo, as measured by the Economic Research Institute Foundation's Consumer Price Index (IPC-Fipe), was 0.31%. The rise was attributed to increases in government-controlled prices.

Fipe now estimates that São Paulo July inflation will rise to 0.85%, and for the year has raised its estimate from 4% to 4.5%. (AB)
