Cardoso says 10% of world energy should be from renewable sources

São Paulo, 5 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Yesterday, president Fernando Henrique Cardoso declared that 10% of world energy should be from renewable sources and that Latin America would lead the effort to achieve that goal, making it part of a proposal package for the Second World Summit on Sustainable Development (Rio+10). Cardoso revealed the matter had been discussed with Mexican president Fox, who supported it, and that the subject would also be on the table at the Mercosur Summit which is taking place in Buenos Aires.
