Rio, 2 (Agência Brasil - ABr) – The National Institute of Metrology is launching an internet program which will permit businesses, especially small and medium-sized companies, to acquire information on standards in other countries so that they can export to them.
Inmetro has an annual budget of R$160 million (US$58.5 million) which it says will be used to tranform the institute into a clearinghouse for agreements on technicial and non-tariff barriers in world markets so that Brazilian firms can export more. (AB)
