Rio, 2 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Yesterday Embratel launched its Agenda 21 Project which seeks to achieve sustainable development with economic growth that consists of social justice and is eco-friendly so as to provide future generations with a better future.

The Embratel Agenda 21 Project is based on the Global Agenda 21, which was signed at the first World Summit on Sustainable Development (Rio-92), and was developed together with the Institute of Religious Studies' Environmental Program. During its first year, the project will provide training courses in environmental education in communities where Embratel operates. (AB)
