Brasilia – Today minister of Agriculture, Wagner Rossi, will take the American ambassador in Brazil, Thomas Shannon, on a trip to the sugarcane fields and sugar/ethanol mills in the interior of the state of São Paulo. Rossi and Shannon will meet with Brazilian sugar/ethanol producers in Ribeirão Preto this morning.
In the afternoon the two will travel 58 kilometers to the city of Jaboticabal and visit a sugar/ethanol mill where they will see how sugarcane is harvested and crushed to be turned into fuel.
In the evening, Rossi and Shannon will hold a press conference back in the city of Ribeirão Preto.
