Brasília – Most of the Brazilian population approve of the hiring of foreign doctors under the More Doctors program. In a study published on Tuesday (September 10) by the National Confederation of Transport (“CNT”), 73.9% of the respondents are supportive of the program.

According to the study, 49.6% of the respondents believe that the program will solve serious problems in Brazil’s health care system. For 34.7% of the respondents, the service will improve in the next six months.

This CNT study shows that the approval ratings of the More Doctors program have contributed to the recovery of the popularity of president Dilma Rousseff and the government, which were lower in July.

In this update, 2,002 people were interviewed in 135 municipalities and 21 states, from August 31 to September 4.
