Live Pharmacies Project receives Marina Silva's backing

Brasília, March 3, 2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Minister of Environment, Marina Silva, received a commission from the Live Pharmacies Project, of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). The commission came seeking support to create the Live Pharmacies Institute. According to the coordinator, Francisco José de Abreu Matos, the project should be concluded by the end of the semester. The Minister backed the initiative and suggested a partership between the Ministry and the Institute. The Live Pharmacies project exists since 1983 and consists of the manipulation of medicinal plants, duly catalogued by the UFC, and their free distribution to public health posts in various states.
