Brasília - Today (9), the representative in Brazil of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), Luís Varese, is launching the report, Asylum in the World - Global Trends 2005. The document contains up-to-date information on the question of asylum, as well as, for the first time, a profile of refugees in Brazil, one of the first countries to ratify the 1951 United Nations Convention on Refugees.
