Trade balance accumulates surplus

Brasilia – Brazilian exports reached U$2.44 billion last week, while imports totaled US$1.82 billion, which resulted in a US$620 million trade surplus. With these numbers, the eight-business day balance rose to US$1.24 billion. Thus, the year surplus amounted to US$6.91 billion, which is US$510 million, or 7.97%, more than equal period of last year, when exports totaled US$21.886 billion and imports, US$14.97 billion.

These numbers were released this Monday (13), in the Ministry of Development, Industry and External Trade’s bulletin.
