Brazil discusses farm subsidies and export barriers in London

Brasília - Today Brazil's minister of Foreign Relations, Celso Amorim, will speak at the London School of Economics on the present state of negotiations at the World Trade Organization (Organização Mundial do Comércio) (OMC).

While he is in London, Amorim will participate in talks with the G-3 (Brazil, United States and European Union; the G-4 (G-3 plus India) and the G-6 (G-3 and G-4 plus Australia and Japan).

The main topics in the minister's speech and talks will be farm subsidies and farm produce import barriers in rich countries. Minister of Agriculture, Roberto Rodrigues, will also participate in the talks which will extend until Sunday ( March 12).
