Paris hosts meeting of Financial Action Group on Money-Laundering

Brasília - Antônio Gustavo Rodrigues, president of the Financial Activities Control Council (Coaf), of the Brazilian Ministry of Finance, is in Paris to participate in a meeting beginning today (10) of the Financial Action Group on Money-Laundering (Gafi). The Gafi, which is made up of 31 countries and institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank (IBRD), the Interpol, and the Organization of American States (OAS), is the chief international body for combatting money-laundering and the financing of terrorism. The meeting will run through Friday (14).
