Brasília - Today president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will receive the president of Gambia, Yahya Jammeh, at 12:30, during a welcoming ceremony at the Palácio do Planalto. Following the ceremony the two presidents will have a private meeting, followed by an expanded meeting with aides, culminating in the signing of agreements.

At 2:00 pm, Yahya Jammeh will be honored with a lunch hosted by president Lula at the Itamaraty Palace.

The Gambians will remain in Brazil until Saturday. Besides president Jammeh, his Chief of Staff and the ministers of Foreign Relations, Youth, Sports and Religion, Agriculture, Commerce and Industry, Health and Well-Being have also come to Brazil.
