Egyptian ship is fined for spilling oil in Rio

Rio - The Rio de Janeiro state Commission on Environmental Control (Comissão estadual de Controle Ambiental) (Ceca) has fined an Egyptian ship, the Alminufiyah, US$101,000 for causing an oil spill which occurred at the end of May in Guanabara Bay. A total of four kilometers of shoreline were polluted as a result of the spill.
