Brasília – Representatives of the Slave-Type Labor Eradication Commission (Comissão Nacional de Erradicação do Trabalho Escravo) (Conatrae) the president's chief aide (ministro-chefe da Secretaria-Geral da Presidência da República), Luiz Dulci, at the Palácio do Planalto, to make an appeal for the government to get behind the constitutional amendment (PEC) on slave-type labor that Congress is about to vote on.

The PEC makes the expropriation of land used for slave-type labor mandatory.

The commission representatives also invited president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to attend the II Round of Debates on Slave-Type Labor which will take place on November 23 and 24.
