Brasília - The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply will coordinate the activities of the final meeting of the Codex Alimentarius Ad Hoc Intergovernmental Task Force on Fruit and Vegetable Juices, proceeding in Fortaleza through Friday (15).
The purpose of the encounter is to complete the text of the new general norm on fruit juices. Around 80 representatives from 20 of the Codex Alimentarius's 163 members countries are participating.
The Codex Alimentarius is an international forum that establishes norms and recommendations on food quality. The program was created in 1962 and is administered jointly by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
