Genro meets with Ministers from Nigeria and Cuba

Brasília - The Minister of Education, Tarso Genro is participating in the 47th International Education Conference, in Geneva, Switzerland. Today he is meeting with the Nigerian Minister of Education, Fabian Osuji, the Cuban Vice-Minister of Education, Francisco Ferreira Báez, and the leaders of the Angolan and Russian delegations.

He will also attend a luncheon offered by the Venezuelan representative, Ambassador Blancanieve Portocarrero, in honor of the Ministers of Education of Latin America; the closing session of the conference, presided by UNESCO Director-General, Koichiro Matsura; and a dinner at the official residence of the Brazilian Ambassador in Geneva, Luiz Felipe de Seixas Corrêa.

The 47th Conference, organized by the United Nations Education, Science, and Culture Organization (UNESCO), ends tomorrow (11). The main topic of debate is "Quality Education for All Young People: Challenges, Backlog, and Priorities." The conference began on Wednesday (8).
