Brasília – Unesco plans to make a survey of infant education in Brazil, Kazakhstan, Indonesia and Kenya this year. It will gather information on government policy and services in large population countries to assist in a strategic redefinition of infant education. In Brazil the survey begins in September and will be conducted by the Anisio Teixeira National Institute of Educational Studies and Research (inep) which is housed in the Ministry of Education.

Unesco says it intends to stimulate a discussion of government educational policy among Brazilian political parties.
