Embrapa to examine agricultural possibilities in Haiti

Brasília - The Brazilian Farm Research Corporation (Embrapa) will send two of its experts to Haiti as part of a Brazilian interministerial observation mission that will arrive next weekend.

The two scientists will make a diagnosis of Haitian agriculture and the possibilities of agribusiness in that country which will be used in deciding on Brazilian assistance. They will examine the need for irrigation, primary product processes and farm development in general.
