Brazil will host UN meeting on malnutrition

Brasília - Brazil has been selected to host the 32nd Session of the UN Permanent Commission on Nutrition in March of next year. Portuguese and Spanish speaking nations will draw up a map of malnutrion around the world for the event.

According to Gastão Wagner, the executive secretary of the Ministry of Health, a diagnosis of the situation in Brazil already exists. The Brazilian problem is not lack of food, it is bad distribution of wealth and income which results in 46 million Brazilians living below the poverty line.
