Market inflation estimates rise slightly

Brasília - For the thirteenth consecutive week, market estimates for year-end inflation have risen. According to the Central Bank's weekly survey, the market estimate is for the IPCA to close out the year up 7.20%, compared to 7.15% last week. The IPCA is the Broad Consumer Price Index that the government uses to gauge its inflation targets.

For the month of July, market estimates are for the IPCA to rise 0.95% (the result will be released this Thursday).

For this month, the market estimate is now for an increase of 0.59%, compared to 0.58% last week.

Market estimates for inflation during the next 12 months also rose from 6.29% to 6.40%.
