São Paulo - A survey just released by the Civil Construction trade union of São Paulo (SindusCon-SP) has found that there was a slowdown in the number of new jobs created, although employment does continue to rise. For the first six months of this year, the building sector has created jobs. In May 15,800 new jobs opened. But in June the new job total fell to 11,000. However, the number of jobs this June was 41,000 more than in June 2003, an increase of 3.47%.
In the first half, the total of new jobs in the building sector reached 68,000, up 5.88% compared to December.
