Monetary base rose 3.2% in July

Brasília - The average daily monetary base (currency and bank reserves) in June reached US$22.8 billion (R$70.769 billion). That is an increase of 3.2% over May, and 7.7% for the last 12 months. However, the amounts are within monetary targets established for the first half by the government. The Central Bank's monthly monetary report shows that bank reserves rose 4.2% in June, while currency in circulation was up 2.7%.
