Brasília - Brazil's cumulative foreign trade surplus for the year, through the month of July to the 25th, has risen to US$17.680 billion. Market estimates for the year-end surplus are US$29 billion.
Exports for the year total US$50.182 billion, and imports US$32.502 billion. The daily average value of exports is up 31.2%, and imports up 24.5%, compared to the same period in 2003.
In the fourth week of July, Brazil had a trade surplus of US$954 million (exports of US$2.189 billion and imports of US$1.235 billion).
