Social Security boats care for population in the Amazon

Brasília, March 19, 2004 (Agência Brasil) - On Monday (22), the National Social Security Institute (INSS) in Manaus will recommence its mobile services for riverside communities. Since the 62 municipalities in the state of Amazonas, which has a huge territorial extension (1,577,820.2 square kilometers), are not easily accessible, the INSS adopted, as an alternative, the floating mobile service, which now has three boats.
