Brasília, 2/19/2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Brazilian government domestic debt on the bond market (Dívida Pública Mobiliária Federal Interna) (DPMFi) rose to R$737.3 billion in January, an increase of 0.8%, compared to December. The increase is explained as due to variations in interest rates and the exchange rate, which were compensated in part by the redemption of R$5.2 billion in bond debt. (AB)
