Rio, February 13, 2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Secretariat of Public Safety of the state of Rio de Janeiro released a note yesterday (12) informing that the police, with support from the Subsecretariat of Intelligence, continue pursuing five of the 15 lines of investigation in the murder of the American couple Zera Todd and Michelle Staheli.

The note also said that, to protect what has already been discovered and avoid speculations that could harm the investigation, detectives in charge of the case have been instructed not to make any kind of statement to the press, for the time being.

Shell executive Zera Todd and his wife were asleep in their home in the Barra da Tijuca, when they were attacked in the early morning hours of November 30, 2003. (DAS)
