Brasília, February 13, 2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Minister of Planning, Guido Mantega, is scheduled to issue the 2004 Budgetary and Financial Programming Decree today at 10 A.M. Last Friday (6) the Minister of Finance, Antônio Palocci, announced that approximately R$ 6 billion from the areas of operating expenses and legislative amendments would be placed on a contingency basis. According to Palocci, by determination of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, there would be no change in the approximately R$ 12 billion in investments projected in the proposed budget. (DAS)
