Libyan commercial mission visits Brazil

São Paulo - A Libyan commercial mission is visiting Brazil to evaluate business opportunities. According to the head of the mission, Khaled El-Zantuti, the president of the Arab-Libya Foreign Investment Company, there is interest in agrobusiness and tourism, for starters. The mission will be in Brazil for at least a week.

The visit began in São Paulo and will also include the Northeast.

Zantuti says that Libya intends to increase its imports of Brazilian goods, mainly beef, coffee and sugar. He says the visit by president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in December gave bilateral business a boost. (AB)
