Rio, 2/12/2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The Brazilian Bureau of Standards (Instituto de Pesos e Medidas) (Ipem) reports that today it will inaugurate its "Operation Carnival with Condoms." The objective is to crack down on false condoms.

Ipem agents will be visiting locations where condoms are sold - drugstores, supermarkets, hotels and so forth - to ensure that the products being sold are up to par with regulation standards. (AB)
