Rio, February 11, 2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Eletronuclear (the Eletrobras Thermonuclear Corporation) won the National Public Management Award (PQGF), Silver Ribbon, in the category of Public and Mixed Enterprises, for its performance at the Angra 1 Plant and the Department of Supervision of the Admiral Álvaro Alberto Nuclear Power Station.

The two units, attached to Eletronuclear's Division of Operations and Commericialization, competed against 81 organizations from various governmental bodies around the country. The awards ceremony will be held tomorrow (12) in the Planalto Palace in Brasília, in the presence of the President of the Republic, ministers, and other government authorities.

The PQGF is the token of recognition by the Public Service Quality Program (PQSP), linked to the Ministry of Planning. Its purpose is to acknowledge and reward outstanding instititional performance by public organizations. (DAS)
