Brasília, February 6, 2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Deputy Paulo Bernardo (PT-PR), reporter for the bill (2545/03) to institute public-private partnerships (PPP), should deliver his opinion today in the special commission that is analyzing the matter. Yesterday (5), the legislator and other members of the commission discussed a preliminary version of the text, which was also forwarded to the Civilian Advisory Office of the Presidency. Leaders of the government's support base expect the text to be voted next Tuesday (10) . The reporter affirms that there is a "positive atmosphere" for voting the project, and he confided that one of the proposed changes that should be approved is the removal from the text of the criterion that gives precedence to payments for PPP contracts over other investments.
