Brasília, 1/28/2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - Job creation is the common goal of everyone in the government, declared the minister of Cities, Olivio Dutra, at a hearing in the Chamber of Deputies. He added that his ministry has a key role in creating jobs. According to the minister, for every R$1 million spent on basic sanitation, 160 jobs are created and 900 families get benefits.

Dutra revealed that this year his ministry will spend R$13 billion. (AB)
