Inflation: IGP-M rose 0.65% in second sample period of January

Rio, 1/23/2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The General Index of Market Prices (IGP-M) rose 0.65% in the second sample period of January. It rose 0.46% during the same period in December.

Wholesale prices (IPA) rose 0.72%, consumer prices (IPC) were up 0.65% and construction costs (INCC) were up 0.20%.

The IGP-M survey is conducted by the Getulio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro. (AB)
