Brasília, January 22, 2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - German customs officials in Hamburg, in the north of the country, announced the seizure of cocaine worth 13 million euros in a Brazilian cargo vessel. During a routine inspection, the Hamburg port officials discovered 255 packages of the drug, each containing a kilo of cocaine, hidden under the false bottom of a container supposed to be full of plastic boxes. A spokesman from the Hamburg state prosecutors office said that no arrests were made in Germany but investigations are being conducted in various countries, none of which was named.
