Rio, January 21, 2004 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The level of industrial employment in Brazil rose slightly, by 0.1%, in November, 2003, compared with the previous month, when the number of jobs declined 0.6%, according to a study by the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics). When compared with the previous year, the rates remain negative, with a 1.4% reduction in relation to November, 2002, and a cumulative 0.6% reduction over the course of the year. (DAS)
