Curitiba, 12/23/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - A new federal law which mandates prisoner interrogations take place where prisoners are being held, as long as the safety of judges and their assistants can be guaranteed, is already being put into effect in the state of Paraná. Its sixteen prisons are being prepared.
"This is something that will mean a safer environment and reduced costs as we will not have to transport prisoners," explained Aldo Parzianello, the state secretary of Justice. (AB)
