Government lowers long-term interest rate by one percentage point to 10%

Brasília, 12/18/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The National Monetary Council (CMN) has decided to reduce the country's long-term interest rate (TJLP) from 11% to 10%, beginning on January 1. The TJLP is used almost exclusively for Development Bank loans and home mortgages. (AB)
