Rio, 12/17/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The General Market Price Index (IGP-M) price survey which is conducted by the Fundação Getúlio Vargas found a rise of 0.46% during its second survey period for the month of December, an increase of 0.08 percentage points over the same period last month.

Meanwhile, the Consumer Price Index (IPC) rose 0.30%, up 0.07 percentage points from the same period in November. (AB)
