São Luís, 12/18/2003 (Agência Brasil) - The Voest Alpine Indústria Mercosul, controlled by Voest Alpine Indústria Eangenbau, which belongs to the Vatech Group of Austria, has decided to build a steel mill in the state of Maranhão.

The Vatech Group is one of the world's three largest steelmakers and was attracted by the opening of a new steel industry center in Maranhão. (AB)
