Rio, 12/11/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - A French trade mission consisting of 40 businessmen, led by the minister of Foreign Trade, François Loos, has arrived in Brazil to seek increased trade.
France considers Brazil one of its top 25 strategic trade partners.
According to the Ministry of Development, Brazil - French trade is almost evenly balanced. This year Brazil exported goods worth US$1.414 billion (an increase of 14.24%, compared to the same period last year), while France exported goods worth US$1.482 billion (down 3.52%).
Brazil's main exports products to France are soybean oil, iron ore, soybeans in grain and petroleum. Brazilian imports from France are autoparts, tractors and aircraft, flu vaccine and helicopters. (AB)
