Brasília, 12/3/2003 (Agência Brasil - ABr) - The V Conference on Cities begins with a full agenda of topics to discuss. Brazil has an estimated housing deficit of 6 million homes. Every year people suffer the effects of a lack of basic sanitation and infrastructure in urban centers. The conference is sponsored by the Chamber of Deputies Commission on Urban Development and Interior, and the Ministry of Cities. (AB)
