Rio, 12/1/2003 (Agência Brasil – ABr) - November inflation, as measured by the General Market Price Index was 0.49%, compared to 0.11% in October. The IGP-M survey is conducted by the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). For the year, it is now up 8.04%, and for the last 12 months, 12.09%.

Here is a breakdown on the November IGP-M: wholesale prices (IPA) rose 0.57% (compared to 0.36% in October). The IPA was pushed upwards by industrial prices which rose 0.59% in November, compared to a drop of 0.23% in October.

Consumer prices (IPC) rose 0.31% (compared to 0.08% in October). Construction costs (INCC) rose 0.42%. (AB)
